2018 Chapter Services
Membership Meetings: Regular meetings, held on the second Thursday of the month, include a light meal, guest speakers on varied HR topics and legal/legislative updates by our Chapter Legal Counsel. These meetings are typically pre-approved for HRCI and SHRM recertification credits.
Quarterly HR Open Forums: These forums are offered through our partnership with Ruder Ware and will provide discussion on a legal topic, best practice sharing, honest communication, and confidential peer discussion.
Member List Serve: This email list is a members-only email forum designed for information sharing amongst CWSHRM members.
Comprehensive Salary and Benefit Survey through MRA: CWSHRM has partnered with MRA and CWSHRM members can participate in their wage and salary surveys at a discount.
Certification Study Materials & Study Group: Various study materials are available for members preparing for certification at a discounted rate. Study groups are organized two times per year to discuss and review topics relevant to the certification exams.
Recertification Credits: CWSHRM offers both SHRM and HRCI pre-approved programs at the monthly membership meetings.
Annual Spring HR Conference: This annual program is held each April, featuring both a keynote and closing speaker. The conference focuses on a variety of Human Resource Management and employment law topics.
Annual Fall Labor Law Clinic: This clinic is sponsored each November in conjunction with Ruder Ware. Attorneys from Ruder Ware, specializing in labor and employment law, present workshops on various labor and employment law topics. Members attending this clinic receive a discounted admission rate.
Periodic Legal Update Email: Periodic legal updates emailed to members from Ruder Ware.
Board and Member Scholarships: Awarded to assist members attending the WISHRM State Conferences and local conferences.
HR Job Postings: Listed on the CWSHRM website. Members are eligible to utilize the CWSHRM website to post HR related job postings.
Networking: Excellent networking opportunities with peers from similar industries, as well as other areas.
